History of Our DLI Program
History of Our DLI Program
The DLI program at Grapevine Elementary began in 2018 as a cornerstone of Vista Unified School District’s commitment to fostering multilingualism. Over the years, our program has expanded to serve students across grade levels, demonstrating consistent success in developing students' language skills and academic achievement.
We are proud to be part of a district-wide initiative supporting multilingual learners and preparing students for the Seal of Biliteracy in high school.
What is the 50/50 Model?
Our 50/50 DLI model ensures that students receive instruction equally in English and Spanish. All subjects are taught in both languages by highly qualified teachers.
